The Foundation

The Kingdom is the continuation of the pattern established by God in the Old Testament whereby he called people to himself to be a worshipping assembly before him. When Moses tells the people what the Lord said to him, “Gather the people to me that I may let them hear my words, so that they may learn to fear me all the days that they live upon the earth…” (Deut. 4:10). In the New Testament, Stephen speaks of the people of Israel in the wilderness as “the assembly in the wilderness” (Acts 7:38). In the book of Hebrews 10:24-25 writings states, “ 24 And let us consider one another in order to stir up love and good works, 25 not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as is the manner of some, but exhorting one another, and so much the more as you see the Day approaching.” Jesus said…” And I also say to you that you are Peter, and on this rock, I will build My church, and the gates of Hades shall not prevail against it. “And I will give you the keys of the kingdom of heaven, and whatever you bind on earth will be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth will be loosed in heaven”” (Matt. 16:18-19). WE ARE MEANT TO BE AN EXTENSION ON EARTH OF THE KINGDOM THAT IS IN HEAVEN!!!
